Research Interests
The Group is investigating the transformation of phosphorus during the high temperature processing of wastes.
My research activities up to now are focused on:
- operation / improvement / characterization of fluidized bed systems combining various field of science i. e. hydrodynamics, thermodynamics and kinetics
- planning and executing experimental work as well as validating and analysing the results
- proposing and validating simple reactor models useful for process upscaling works
- studying the chemical and mechanical behaviour of Ca based sorbents in fluidized bed combustion conditions
- studying the chemical and mechanical behaviour of sewage sludge during thermal treatment with focus on phosphorus recovery
- process modelling, simulation and evaluation of the high temperature fluidized bed system for phosphorus recovery
