FNR funds new Cooperative Research Project co-ordinated by ITC

Starting from April, 15th, 2015 Fachagentur nachwachsende Rohstoffe (FNR) funds a new research project which is co-ordinated by KIT. Partners of KIT are CCA-Carola-Clean-Air GmbH a producer of electrostatic precipitators and the boiler producer  HDG-Bavaria GmbH. The goal of this research project is to proof the successful field operation of powerful and cost-efficient precipitators for ultrafine particles from biomass fired boilers. To this end cost reduction by serial production, integration of boiler and precipitator and optimization of technology are investigated. User friendliness, ease of maintenance and disposal of ash fractions are evaluated.
